About Us
Where Literature meets Licensure

LET-LIT is a study companion for pre-service teachers preparing for the Licensure Examination for Teachers. It gathers the literature the exam asks about into one place — synopses you can finish in a sitting, quizzes that check what stayed with you, and a record of how far you have come.
Our mission
LET-LIT exists to prepare pre-service English teachers for the Licensure Examination for Teachers through genuine engagement with literature, rather than rote memorization. We are committed to fostering a deeper, more lasting understanding of the works the examination covers, equipping future educators with knowledge they can carry into their own classrooms.
Why we built this
Existing LET reviewers largely treat literature as a list of facts to be memorized, overlooking the depth and meaning the subject demands. Developed by BSED English students, LET-LIT was created to address this gap by consolidating literary synopses, assessments, and progress tracking into a single platform — allowing examinees to identify and strengthen their understanding well before examination day.

We are BSED-English students at the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue, and LET-LIT is our undergraduate research — part study aid, part thesis. Between us we chose the stories, wrote the synopses, built the quizzes, and put the site together.
Developed under the guidance of Ms. Carine A. Batucan, BSED-English Program, UCLM.
